BALLYBUNION NEW (Cashen)

BALLYBUNION NEW (Cashen)
Played on Sab in '96...driving 60mph winds..especially off first tee...not nearly as interesting as the old course..

BALLYBUNION OLD

BALLYBUNION OLD
BRETT: My favorite of Ireland? with the rolling dunes. Couldn't hit a better 3 wood, 7 iron to 10 feet (we both parred it) CURT: Great play (after Brett and I had already play Ceann Sebal in the am...Tee off over cemetary on first tee..large and deep traps and great ocean view holes. Especially NOs 11 and 13 (both Mac and Keith birdied). Played again with the Leaons in 06...with great weather. Stayed across from course at B&B when played with the guys.

CARLOW

CARLOW
On first trip to Ireland – first course played south of Dublin – town was site of Mom’s relatives, the Nolans – played before Mom got up at B& B

CEANN SIBEAL
Early morning jaunt from Dingle, amazing drive around peninsula, sheep on the 8th green, and a hitchhiker on the way back, well worth the early rise!!

COUNTY LOUTH
North of Dublin, Ireland(96' sab): Last course played in :Ireland with Tanya before flew to London. Started early with no one on the course..beautiful course with views of the ocean from a number of holes..sunrise was glorious.

DONEGAL, Bunbeg
Teed off on 9th hole over cemetery on first shot, second shot over the road onto the green. Teed off very early – left green fees at course box.

Course played with Mac Keith and Brett..some view of the water..Mac thot he left camera there, but turned out it was in back of van.

Played with course with Leons after night of coughing..Wonderful layout..great course and clubhouse hole to left is No. 1 (SURE! Play it without me!)

KILLARNEY

KILLARNEY
A more traditional course in Ireland, but no less enjoyable!

LAHINCH

LAHINCH
The run to the hill on the rock hole #6, horrible rain and wind, and still Mac broke 80 somehow.

OLD HEAD

OLD HEAD
Once in a lifetime experience! INCLUDING: Lighthouse where David the caddie lived with his grandfather, wind and rain from 15 on, and the storming of the course by the protesters on 14. An amazing dinner with John and family that night who lost family members in 9/11
